Pousada Marittima

The staff were lovely, especially Candela and Agustina, and breakfast was delicious. It’s a beautiful place right in the center of Buzios. We had a lot of rainy days, which left the room pretty humid, but the service was still good.

Micaela and Milagros, the two Argentinian women working there, were really helpful, friendly, and attentive. The location is great for getting to the center, and Anita was wonderful at breakfast. There was a good variety, though breakfast could still be better. The room was old and badly furnished for what I paid, even though I booked a superior room. The shower curtain needs replacing, and guests should be told about the stairs. There was too much decoration, and the WiFi was terrible. The photos look lovely, but the place itself didn’t live up to them. I stayed October 23-26, 2025.

The service was impeccable, and the girls were so sweet, which makes it a shame that we had such a bad experience. The air conditioner shorted out and its wire caught fire. The smoke and burning smell made me feel a bit sick. Also, WiFi barely worked in our room.

We came back to Pousada Marittima in November after first staying there with my wife in March, and we were just as delighted. The new rooms we got this time are incredible, a dream come true in Buzios! Mili and Mica are wonderful, always checking that guests are comfortable and have what they need. Victor is always looking for ways to make the Pousada nicer and more enjoyable. It’s a beautiful, peaceful place, and breakfast is generous and delicious. The location is perfect too, just two blocks from Rua da Pedras, the main shopping street. We’ll be back in Buzios soon, and definitely staying at Pousada Marittima again! 🫶🏻
