Pousada New Paradise

The pool was lovely, and we saw the staff looking after it each day. We stayed for eight days and seven nights, with daily housekeeping and excellent service from a very friendly team. Our spacious room had air conditioning and Wi-Fi, and the shower had good pressure. Breakfast offered variety, and you could ask for eggs, fruit, and cold cuts. The location is fantastic, close to the center and to Azeda, João Fernandes, and João Fernandinho beaches. Mr. Waiz is nearby, as is Sanse, a restaurant I'd highly recommend.

We had a fantastic 10 days and would definitely return. The pousada is close to the beaches and shopping centers, and everyone was warm, helpful, and attentive. Dante and Jade paid wonderful attention to detail and clearly cared about giving guests the best experience.

As my travel agent said, this is a simple but good inn. The staff are excellent, and Dante stays on top of everything. Breakfast is good, served as a help yourself setup, and the kitchen is very good if you want fast food or desserts. A few things outside could use fixing.

The reception staff were friendly, and the location was the only redeeming part of our stay. We waited over an hour past the 2 pm check-in time for our room, and all they offered while we waited was water. Our room was barely adequate, with broken air conditioning, and hot water came at an extra charge. It's not a suitable location for children or older people. The room was separated from a building opening onto the courtyard by a sheet of metal that banged every night. Work started there at 7 am, with noise and cars coming and going without any control. The courtyard photos were misleading, and the place looked nothing like them. The pool was small and poorly maintained; the courtyard was neglected, with café trash cans around, and there was a sewage smell every day. Breakfast was meager and served in the café's common area. We waited as long as 20 minutes for things like coffee to be refilled.
