Friendly, helpful staff and a nice place to stay for the money. There's a lovely little terrace with a swimming pool. I'd definitely recommend it.

I was very happy with the service. The rooms we got were cheaper, so they weren't as nice. The more expensive rooms are really nice!

Great hotel.

The location is good, and the place has potential. It's spacious and attractive, and you can walk to the center. The pool is the one thing that somewhat redeems it, though even that didn't look properly cleaned. Beyond that, the stay was extremely frustrating, and I don't recommend it or plan to return. We were first sent to room 18, which was filthy, badly cared for, and had a cave-like feel. After I asked to change rooms, we were moved to one that was a little better but still nowhere near acceptable. The double bed was just two single beds pushed together, with no proper covering or finish over the gap, so it was completely uncomfortable. The facilities were generally very dirty, including the pool area and breakfast space. There was no toilet paper in the room, so we had to go to reception to get some. The bedding was visibly dirty, and there was no room service. Breakfast was poor, with few choices. What shocked me most was seeing disposable plastic knives being reused. There were no proper knives for cutting bread, and kitchen staff were washing the disposable ones and putting them back with the forks. That's completely unhygienic. There weren't any napkins either. When we asked, they handed them over all crumpled and carelessly, which only added to the feeling of disorganization and lack of care. WiFi worked only in certain parts of the pousada. Depending on the room, there was no signal at all, which is a problem if you need to communicate or work. Overall, the place came across as neglected, dirty, and poorly maintained. It needs a major renovation, along with serious improvements to cleaning, service, and management.
