Kûara Hotel

We’ll be back! The views, food, and service were all amazing, and our stay was stress free and extra special. Many thanks to Joco, EnHike, and everyone else who helped make it that way.

The staff all seemed happy and were so pleasant. Alberto and cleoton were especially accommodating, gave exceptional service, and spoke fluent English beautifully. We also had amazing massages at the spa, which is lovely and reasonably priced. Kuara is spotless, the rooms are cleaned very nicely, and the showers are spacious. The king beds were extremely comfortable and the air conditioning was perfect. The pool and ocean scenery is spectacular, and the resort is beautiful and so relaxing. I’d stay here again. You get what you pay for :-).

The rooms were nice, so I have no complaints there. But the service at reception, the restaurant, and the bar felt less courteous than at other five star hotels we’ve stayed at in Trancoso. It wasn’t terrible, just not what I expected for the price and rating. Check-in and checkout were both bumpy. We arrived around 1pm, if I remember right, and even though the hotel didn’t seem full, we had to wait for our room until 2pm. They also wouldn’t let us stay a little longer to fit our flight home. They said the hotel was full, which made us skeptical since it was the end of summer and breakfast, the pool, and the beach all seemed quite empty. I wouldn’t recommend it for a honeymoon.

We visited for day use and it was spectacular. The tennis courts were great, and the staff were very friendly, well trained, and quick to help with anything we needed. At the beach, we could use the lounge chairs and towels.
