Pousada Flor do Arraial

There were three of us, and we stayed in room 5. It was airy, had a nice view of nature and the pool, and we were welcomed warmly by Jair. The location is excellent, and we walked everywhere. Service needs a lot of work, though. We asked every day for a face towel and for the liquid soap dispenser to be refilled, but neither request was handled. Breakfast was sparse, and we had to keep asking for cold cuts, bread, and eggs. No one cleared the tables, so we had to ask for plates, cutlery, and cups. The dishes and cutlery were dirty, and we had to choose the least dirty ones. A tray of granola and honey jars sat empty and looked dirty. The pool was dirty, and the poolside chairs were broken and rusty. At checkout, nobody was at reception. We left the key on the table and messaged them on WhatsApp, but they still haven’t replied. The inn itself is good, but the service needs a lot of improvement.

After a day out, this was a comfortable place to relax. It’s simple, cozy, and well organized, with polite and helpful staff and a calm atmosphere. The location is very convenient, close to everything, so it’s easy to enjoy Arraial.

Our stay wasn’t the best. The towels were stained and torn, and the bed linen was ripped and wasn’t changed. The air conditioner drained into a water jug that kept leaking onto the balcony, something a simple hose could have fixed. Even after we asked several times for fresh bedding, the poorly trained staff simply didn’t do it.

The best part was the quick, polite welcome at reception. The rest was a pile of disrespect and poor facilities. We left a day before checkout because we couldn’t take it anymore. The rooms were old and neglected; after it rained, water came through a crack in the ceiling, and we woke up with drips falling onto the bed. Breakfast service was even worse. Items were constantly missing, and staff paid more attention to their phones than the buffet. They started clearing everything before 10:00, without waiting for guests to finish. The plates were often wet and dirty. It was completely disrespectful.
