Pousada Jardim das Bromelias

The place was difficult to reach, with no clear directions. The inn is on a dirt road, completely away from the center and surrounded by woods, which made getting there feel dangerous, especially without a car. After a long trip to get there, I waited about 20 minutes at reception and no one came to help. There was a gathering for Empada Calpan oi happening at the property, but nobody there could give me information. My phone had just 10% battery. I was counting on the start of my stay to charge it and enjoy the day, but there was no one responsible at the inn. I didn't feel safe staying alone somewhere isolated, with no way to communicate. I'm not sure exactly how long we waited because the phone was dying, and I was worried about finding a route back to somewhere safe. There wasn't even a notice saying something like “please wait, we'll be right back.” I tried calling and couldn't get through. Later they sent a WhatsApp message, but by then my phone had run out of battery. I had to go from door to door looking for another place with a vacancy. After all that, I don't recommend the place. The inn still refused to cancel the night's charge, saying someone had gone to the bathroom and the guest hadn't waited. Regardless of why the person was absent, when I book a service I expect to receive it. I had traveled a long way expecting somewhere to stay, only to find no one at reception in a place isolated by woods, with a dirt road and no directions.

The dogs at the pousada were such lovely companions, and the owners were warm, attentive, and always ready to help. You can feel how much care goes into the place. I stayed for 10 days in December 2025 and felt at home from the start. It’s cozy, clean, well cared for, and surrounded by nature, so it feels wonderfully peaceful. One note: the pousada has been under new management since September 2025. I had a wonderful stay and would happily return.

That view was one of the most beautiful I’ve ever seen. The pool was lovely and warm, and breakfast was a treat, especially the cake, tapioca, and coffee. The room was clean and comfortable, with good beds, a nice shower, and great air conditioning. The whole pousada has been renovated, and it’s easy to get to both the center and the beach. The owners were friendly and attentive. I loved it and will definitely be back.

The new owner is really nice and attentive, and the pousada has improved a lot since the change. The room is all new, including the bedding, TV, and minibar, and breakfast was very good. Highly recommend it for a visit. I’ll keep coming back. I’d give it more than five stars if I could.
