The breakfast was simple, but everything was made with care: fruit, cake, coffee, scrambled eggs and guava juice, all delicious. Our room was basic yet very comfortable, with a great bed, a spacious bathroom, face and bath towels, a bath mat, and a warm electric shower. The TV only had regular channels, but it was a smart TV, so we could use Netflix, YouTube and other streaming services. Indie welcomed us warmly, walked us through everything and shared helpful restaurant and outing tips. We had a rainy week, so the unpaved access road had a few puddles. It wasn’t a problem, though a rental car makes it much easier to get around Arraial and enjoy the area. I was really happy we chose Pousada Quintessência. I’d definitely stay again, hopefully on sunny days.

We stayed for a week and loved it. The place is pleasant, clean and very comfortable, with no noise at all. The owner was helpful and gave us tips on routes to take. Breakfast was good quality, and the pousada is very close to the center, though you do have to walk up a hill.

Mateo deserves a special thank you for the great service and for helping us figure out what to do. The breakfast was generous, and the pousada is cozy, peaceful and well located. Everything went smoothly from check-in through checkout. I highly recommend staying here, and I already know where I’ll book next time I’m in Arraial.
