Cassio and the rest of the staff were especially kind and hospitable, and I felt very welcome. The place has the charm of staying in someone’s home, with carefully considered details and a distinctive layout like a mansion, offering units at different levels of comfort and luxury. My standard room was small but spotless and comfortable, with a quaint sitting area outside. There were a few things that affected my stay. The owners’ presence was very noticeable, and I felt a bit watched, which limited my sense of privacy and freedom. Breakfast choices were limited and mostly decided by the waitstaff. Nobody asked about my diet, and serving me bread and bacon felt like a mistake. The shower water wasn’t hot enough for me, which may have been intentional to avoid steam in the smaller rooms, but it was still uncomfortable. The internet was unreliable, so I used a lot of mobile data. I found the stay memorable, and the staff’s kindness, especially Cassio’s, made a positive impression. More reliable internet, broader breakfast choices, and better room amenities would have made the experience better.

We only had two nights here and I really wish we'd booked longer. The gardens and pool are gorgeous, and everything is kept spotlessly clean. Breakfast was excellent, with something different each morning. Chris & Marco have made a really special home in Arraial d’Adjuda. Thank you.

The little touches in our room stood out, especially our names written on the bed with flowers. The bathroom was spacious and spotless too. It’s a peaceful place, with hammocks, outdoor beds, and an exercise area that all make it easy to unwind. The pousada feels like a natural retreat, and the village is only a five-minute walk away, with lovely surroundings to explore on foot. Breakfast was a highlight, with lots of healthy choices and a nice mix of sweet and savory food. Everything was thoughtfully made, even down to the flowers used as decoration. The staff were warm, attentive, and quick to help, so we felt welcome right away. I had an incredible stay and would happily come back.
