Arraial Concept Hotel

Really enjoyed the pool and breakfast. The staff were warm, the place was very clean, and they spoke English.

The room was really comfortable, and the service was excellent.

We were disappointed by the cleanliness at Arraial Concept, even though the hotel is new and we were welcomed nicely. In the first room, the floor had lots of hair on it, and underneath the bed was filthy, with an open candy on the floor. The toilet hadn't been flushed and had hair and other dirt in it. It was awful, so we asked to change rooms. The second room had cleaning problems too. There was dirt under the bed, the bathroom smelled like it had been cleaned with a dirty, wet cloth, and grime came off the shower glass when we ran a finger over it. The face towel left for us was wet. Breakfast was another letdown on hygiene. The floor was filthy, and several tables stayed dirty with leftover dishes and food for more than 40 minutes. We often couldn't find a place to sit right away, even when there were empty but dirty tables. There were no plates or cutlery available; when I asked, I got wet plates and poorly washed knives. Cups were never available either. For a hotel that presents itself as five-star, it’s unacceptable to fall so short on something as basic as cleanliness.

The staff were so friendly and ready to help, and the new rooms were comfortable. I also thought the location was excellent. Breakfast was very good, with plenty to eat, and we had a really nice stay at Arraial Concept Hotel. One thing was inconvenient for our family: our room for four had nowhere to hang towels or wet clothes, not even in the bathroom. Since we came back from the beach every day, it was hard to manage. If you can, I’d pick a room with a balcony, which helps with drying things.
