Estalagem 11 Suites

We stayed January 24th to 31st after coming from Uruguay, and found the hotel very good. The staff were friendly, breakfast had plenty to choose from, and the rooms were comfortable. The facilities may be a little dated, though that seems typical of the area. Room 8 faced the street, and on some days, especially weekends, the noise made it hard to sleep. That wasn't the hotel's fault. The location was handy for walking to Praia do Forno, Praia dos Anjos, Praia Grande, restaurants, and the main square.

The location gets 10 points from me, with everything we needed close by. The room was small but fine, and the air conditioning was a lifesaver in the hot, humid weather. I wish the windows could close properly, and the room could use glasses and somewhere on the wall to hang clothes. I had to use an extra chair for our things. Breakfast was adequate, but there were only two fruit choices, and a toaster would be a must. Mornings were noisy, though nights were quiet.

The location was good, with Praia do Forno and Praia dos Anjos nearby. Breakfast was reasonable, though the choices were limited. We had several power cuts, but I think that was happening across the city. The street was noisy, and the cleaning left a lot to be desired. Worst of all, the sheets and pillowcases were dirty. My husband had to clean the shower so water would come out well enough to bathe. There's no parking, and street parking costs an absurd amount. The rooms look onto the street, and the wifi barely worked.

Breakfast was the highlight for me: everything was homemade and the menu changed each day. The room was comfortable and had everything we needed for a great stay. Being close to the beaches and the port where you catch water taxis was a big help. We had wonderful days here and thought it was a great hotel choice. Highly recommended!
