Pousada dos Atobás

The hill makes getting there awkward. Uber drivers wouldn't go up the cobblestone street when it rained because their wheels couldn't grip, though they'd do it in dry weather. Don't ask to be dropped at the inn itself, you'll likely need to walk a few meters uphill from the street below. The staff were excellent, and the young man who helped us spoke good Spanish. We enjoyed the pool and very good breakfast, and they let us stay at no extra cost on a rainy day until our transfer arrived. The air conditioning was quite good, and our small bathroom was very clean.

The room was good, with comfortable beds, and it was very clean. But breakfast was poor. For all four days they kept putting out the same leftovers that nobody had eaten, including hard cakes and a few things that tasted sour.

The staff were great, and breakfast had plenty of choices. My room was very clean and smelled lovely. I highly recommend this pousada.

It's a quiet pousada with good service, and breakfast is the only meal offered. The steep hill on the street could be hard for older people or anyone walking.
