Pousada Downtown Arraial do Cabo

Luiz and Vitor made the experience wonderful for me and my wife. They welcomed us so warmly and gave us a clean, well-organized room. The air conditioning and breakfast were definite highlights ❤️😍. I recommend it, and I'm sure this will be my favorite place to stay. See you soon!

Vitor and his brothers are such nice people, and the service was good. Breakfast was spectacular, and I have nothing bad to say. An incredible experience, fully recommend it.

Bruna is lovely and very friendly, and João and Gabi are polite too. But that wasn't enough to make us feel cared for. There was no room cleaning. By day three I had to get a broom and cloth myself because the sand made it impossible to walk barefoot. I left at 8:40 one morning and there was no breakfast, despite being told it ran from 8:00 to 10:00. The minibar didn't work properly on the first day, and when I opened it there was a strong dirty-water smell from the drawer inside. I reported it and got no response. There's no blackout curtain, and because our room faced the street, the nearby streetlight lit up the whole room and made sleeping difficult. I left early and asked for a refund for the last night, but they refused. Before leaving, I checked under the bed and found a dirty diaper, probably left by previous guests.

There was no parking, and they showed no concern about whether guests had a car. The rooms were extremely hot and tiny, with the bathroom separated by a plastic curtain. For the price, it just wasn't worth it, and I felt no empathy from the staff, especially toward my wife and me. It might be okay only for one night if you can't find another pousada. I wouldn't recommend it or return.
