Pousada Avare

I’ve stayed there several times, and it’s a good place if you’re passing through or working in the city. Vanessa, her son-in-law, and the staff are all top-notch and do everything they can to make guests comfortable. We’ll be back in Avaré for work soon!

I’m very upset about this. I arrived at the inn at 4:00 p.m. on a Thursday and planned to stay until Sunday morning because of the rodeo happening in Avaré. They said I could only get the room if I paid for all three nights upfront, so I did. I filled in all my details on paper, but ended up using only two nights because my husband got hurt at the rodeo, leaving one night unused. At 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, a woman who said she was the inn owner’s mother-in-law told me she’d send a Pix for the unused night as soon as she could speak with her son-in-law. I gave her my contact details, name, and Pix information. She said she’d send the money that same day. But when I contacted them, they saw my messages and didn’t reply. Only after I said I’d look into my rights did they respond. They said they couldn’t refund the Pix, seemed to suggest I was lying, and said the hotel industry has a rule against refunds. They had insisted on receiving payment for the full stay, but I was told this was an employee’s mistake. I don’t see how their staff’s mistakes are my responsibility. They also never told me about this while I was there, and I didn’t sign anything saying they wouldn’t refund nights I didn’t use. I’ll be looking into my rights.

My first stay at Pousada Abare was a very good experience, and I’ll definitely come back. The staff were very helpful, especially Elaine, who was always ready to help us in the best way she could. She made our stay even better. We’ll certainly return. 😎 Laura Lessard From USA 🇺🇸

The room had a pleasant feel and new flooring. The bathroom tiles go right up the walls, and the shower was spectacular, great for relaxing. Breakfast had everything needed for a good meal: fruit, bread, cold cuts, milk, coffee, and yogurt. The toilet was missing a seat, but that may have been a one-off issue since it was Saturday night. The price was accessible for such a good rest. I highly recommend it.
