A fun place with the feel of a quiet village. We were made very welcome, and it was great value. Finding it was part of the fun: it’s actually on the beach, where you can’t drive. With a 4x4, though, you can drop off your bags!

We rented the whole pousada for New Year’s Eve. The employee was kind and attentive, but the place itself was awful. Our sheets were torn and stained, and there was a musty smell mixed with mothballs. We found cockroaches on the balcony. For all four nights, an unbearably loud noise from the bathroom in our suite kept us from sleeping. The kitchen was in terrible shape too. There was also a hole in the wall of our suite, and we had to pay for it even though we hadn’t made it. I wouldn’t recommend the place.

There’s a pool with an ocean view, a barbecue area, a full breakfast, and a place to store surfboards. Some rooms also have a lovely sea view and a minibar. It’s a good spot for a beach break or surfing, with several bars nearby and restaurants that deliver too. Just be aware that the pousada encourages guests to enjoy the shared atmosphere, so there may be guitar singalongs or small parties. It was very quiet during my stay, but a party could happen. Ask about it beforehand.
