We had to pay for a tow to get home, which was outrageous. When we left the hotel, the car was having trouble shifting, so we stopped at the next corner and found the gearbox was very loose. We realized the valet may have caused it by making a mistake. In a conversation with him, he said he had shifted it incorrectly and that this could have led to the problem. The hotel barely paid attention when we raised it. They sent camera footage that didn't show where the mistake happened, then told us to file a police report. Guests aren't allowed to park their own vehicles at this hotel, and the way they handled the damage felt disrespectful.
