Little Hostel BC

The place felt unsafe and uncomfortable, and the hygiene was far below what I’d expect from a hostel or camping site. I saw people who appeared very drunk, and the next morning one of the residents was sick after using cocaine the night before. He even offered drugs. It also didn’t seem to run like an organized hostel. It felt more like an old house renting out rooms and even a sofa to lots of people, alongside long-term residents. The kitchen utensils were grimy, the bathrooms were in poor shape and unclean, and dirt was scattered around the yard. When I raised this with the owner, I was told it was “normal because it’s the end of the year” and that the cleaner hadn’t shown up. But one of the residents was apparently responsible for cleaning and simply wasn’t doing it. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

We stayed for 7 days in a place with no basic hygiene or safety standards. The property let anyone in, including a homeless resident who offered us cocaine several times. There seemed to be no rules, supervision, or control from management, which showed a complete disregard for guests. Before we arrived, the person in charge, Ubirajara, sent photos over WhatsApp that didn’t match the place at all. We were shocked by how dirty it was and by the guests who seemed to have been living there for years in poor conditions.

I paid 120 reais for one night. When I got there, the condition of the place shocked me. It looked like a squat, and it was extremely dirty. I hope nobody else has to go through that.

Very dirty and felt unsafe. There’s no place for camping or a hostel.
