Pousada Sia Mariana

The place is beautiful, which makes this disappointing second visit a shame. We booked the same package as last time, but this time there was no sunset trip with us and no live music at night. We were a group using four rooms, and had been told live music would be provided with more than five rooms. As far as we knew, another three or four rooms were occupied too. Without the outing or music, there wasn’t much to do and the evening felt dull. By 9 pm we were all heading to bed. They need to decide whether this is a tourism inn or a fishing lodge. For tourism, there should be more activities for guests. For fishing, the boats need better facilities: they offered drinks, but no snacks, while we know other fishing lodges have snacks and much more set up on their boats. The beer was also really warm when we arrived. This wasn’t the best experience, and it may be enough to keep me from coming back. What a pity, because it’s such a lovely place.

The food was wonderful and the service was perfect. My husband and I were welcomed so warmly. The inn is beautiful, with plenty of comfort and space. I recommend this Pantanal experience, it’s unforgettable!
