Gungaporanga Hotel

The service was extremely good, and I had an amazing time at this hotel. The staff were friendly, and the place is calm and pleasant. Highly recommended.

My husband and I had a wonderful honeymoon at Gungaporanga Hotel, with absolutely no complaints. The view over the lagoon and ocean was breathtaking, and our room was very clean. The food was amazing too. I especially recommend the shrimp, coconut, and mango risotto. The staff were friendly, polite, proactive, and so helpful and welcoming. It was an amazing experience, 10/10.

The location overlooks the bay or river, and the team is very dedicated and friendly, but I still wouldn’t recommend this place. It was dirty and poorly managed. They try to arrange everything online, but check-in and ordering at the bar or restaurant didn’t work. The apartments are a decent size, but guests aren’t allowed into the garden, even the area right in front of their small terrace. The furniture and floors use very basic, cheap materials, though the mattresses are comfortable. The shower is good and hot. The windows don’t block noise, and you can hear everything, even from bars 2 km away. There’s no guarantee of a spot in the restaurant, despite the isolated location and few, if any, alternatives within 2-3 km.

Set in a picturesque location, Hotel Gungaporanga is charming and unusual. It may not be the most luxurious hotel, but it offers an authentic stay for travelers who want to connect with nature and local culture.
