The room was spotless and tidy, with air conditioning and hot water, and they even have space for pets. The outdoor areas are thoughtfully set up for guests’ comfort, with little details that make a difference. We were warmly welcomed by Bruno’s team, and Dona Maria made a delicious breakfast with music playing in the background. Before the trip, replies on WhatsApp took a while, but I understand now: Bruno looks after nine apartments and seems to devote all 24 hours of the day to guests, taking care of every detail. I’ve never seen anyone work so hard. You can trust them completely!

A terrible experience. The Booking rating doesn’t match reality. The bathroom was damaged, and the toilet wouldn’t flush because the outlet was blocked, though it wasn’t clogged. Other guests said they had the same problem. Cleaning was only reasonable after we complained. The shower drain also didn’t work properly, so water flooded the rest of the bathroom. In the middle of the night, the curtain fell and startled us. The towels were small and were changed only once in five days. The pool was green, perhaps it already had frogs in it. Breakfast was awful, with few choices and too little seating. The room window was stuck shut, so there was no way to open it. If we hadn’t paid in advance, I would have looked for another inn. The young man at reception was kind, helpful, and friendly. I don’t know if he was the owner, but the other staff always looked annoyed and acted like they were doing us a favor.

The room was very comfortable, but breakfast was unbelievable: just two slices of cheese, two rolls, and coffee. With the high price of the nightly rate, I expected a lot better.

The lunch was delicious, and the owner made it himself. He’s a chef. We loved the pousada, from the flexible check-in to the comfortable room and breakfast. The service was great too. I’ll recommend it to friends who want to visit the Lençóis Maranhenses.
