I hope Belem can hold on to places like this as the city changes faster and faster. It’s a rare hotel outside the usual chains, with a lovely old-fashioned feel and an incredible river view. The pool and breakfast are nice extras. The place has probably seen better days.

The room was clean, and there was good security for my car. The hotel was okay, but the lift stopped working and, even though I use a wheelchair, they didn’t offer me a room on the ground floor. The shower had poor water pressure.

The location isn’t the best, but the amenities, service and staff made up for it. Everyone was polite, helpful and accommodating, and they really went out of their way to make sure we were okay. When my wife got sick and needed medication, a staff member took the bus to buy it because the hotel didn’t have any at the time. My family speaks English and the staff speak Portuguese, but they were patient and helped us through the communication barrier. The price is great too. Beiro Rio gave us an unforgettable experience, and I’d recommend it to vacationers, business travelers or anyone visiting belem, Brasil. It’s easily one of the best hotels in Belem, Brasil.
