Local Hostel Belém

The beds were comfortable, with privacy curtains, a large locker, and nice cool air conditioning. The bathrooms were small but generally clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. I stayed for a few nights during Cirio. Breakfast was around 30 reais, I think, with fruit, breads, spreads, cakes, eggs, coffee, and more. Guests were a mix of ages, genders, and nationalities, though mostly Brazilians, as you’d expect. I didn’t find much open nearby, like restaurants or botecos, maybe because of Cirio. There’s a huge Líder supermarket about a ten-minute walk away, with a pretty cheap kilo restaurant at the back. I’d recommend this hostel if you’re looking for a place in Belém. I accidentally left my glasses behind, and they shipped them to me in São Paulo.

I really recommend this hostel. The breakfast was amazing, and both the rooms and bathrooms were very clean. It’s within walking distance of Docas, on a quiet street, and there’s a nice little garden to relax in.

My stay was wonderful, and I felt right at home. In the shared aparelhagem room, everything was well organized: the bed had its own curtain, the mattress was comfortable, the sheets were clean, and the luggage storage was really spacious. The air conditioning was great. The room was near the two upstairs bathrooms, both with hot water, and there was a gelagua where I could refill with filtered water. The hostel is well located, near a bakery, a shopping center, main avenues, and some tourist spots. The staff were always ready with information and tips about the city. There’s also a shared kitchen, a place to rest and eat, and changing rooms that are really spacious. I hope to come back to Local hostel Belém someday!
