Bourbon Hotel Savassi | Belo Horizonte

It was just okay, though I could stay here again. In my opinion it’s a three-star hotel. The breakfast could be better, and the bathroom and corridor carpet both seemed like they needed more cleaning. There was hair in the sink when I arrived, and the showerhead was old. The bed was hard and had only one sheet.

Lara at reception was especially professional and helped us a lot. We were treated very well there, and would return for that reason. Our room was spotless, with a very comfortable bed and a fantastic view, and the sauna was great. The pool wasn’t anything special, and breakfast was just okay, though we were glad it was included. The only annoying part was having to reactivate our cards several times.

This was my second visit to Belo Horizonte and my second time staying here. As a foreign traveler who doesn’t speak Portuguese, I found the staff wonderfully friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The rooms are well appointed, and it’s a great hotel.

I stayed for one night and it was okay. I left to find dinner because they had no bread for a hamburger. The gym has three treadmills, but one slips and felt pretty dangerous at 12-14 km/h, and there were no towels there. I left before breakfast opened at 6am. The double bed and pillow were pretty good, or maybe they just felt like a huge improvement after my awful previous hotel, with its single bed and pillow that felt like coconut husks.
