Mercure Belo Horizonte Lourdes Hotel

The parking situation was frustrating. It costs R$45/day, isn't included, and is shared with a busy Japanese restaurant, so some days it was hard to find a space. The food was overpriced too. During my three-week stay, the shower enclosure looked as if it hadn't been scrubbed once, and the room cleaning overall left a lot to be desired. The garage is under construction, which also affects cleaning. The hotel feels very dated, and the rooms don't block sound well. For the price, the quality wasn't there. The policy felt unfair as well. My company paid a full day even though my flight meant I checked in late at night. But when I asked for just a 2-3 hour late checkout, they wouldn't allow it unless I paid another half day. I expected more flexibility and care for guests at those prices. Definitely not worth it, and I don't recommend it.

The views from my window were beautiful, and I loved the location. I also really enjoyed the breakfast and sushi at the on-site restaurant. The indoor pool was nice, the bed was very comfortable, and the shower had lovely hot water.

A good stay in BH, with lots of important venues nearby and an easy trip to the airport. The Wi-Fi was a little unstable, but it worked for sending emails.

For a quick business trip to Belo Horizonte, this is an easy choice. The location, rooms, and service are all great. I've used the strategy of picking the Accor Hotel nearest my destination before, and they deliver what you expect. No need to spend ages deciding, you won't be disappointed.
