Pousada paraíso

When we arrived, it felt like what we'd booked didn't match what was actually there. The inn is still being set up and is under renovation. It looks like a house with some extra rooms added, rather than an inn. The space is small, and the rooms are very close together, so there's little privacy. Imagine renting a house and sharing it with four other couples. Some things could be improved a lot. The electric shower was cold and had weak water pressure, and the sink had no hot water. Breakfast was a disappointment, too. Most of the bread, cakes, and biscuits seemed store-bought, refrigerated, then warmed up, and the juices weren't fresh or made to order. I'd suggest fewer items made that day, like scrambled eggs, sausages in tomato sauce, tapioca, and yogurt. Breakfast is something guests expect, and this one left a lot to be desired. The breakfast area is basically a small kitchen, and if every room were occupied, there wouldn't be room for everyone. It also doesn't start until 8 a.m., which seemed late to us. After guests are checked in, they're left on their own. In our view, that causes some serious problems. Some guests came back from a party making a lot of noise in the early hours. People come and go without proper control, and there are no cameras, guard, or reception desk, so security feels lacking. The place is very secluded, at the end of the road with only vegetation beyond it. We were completely alone there for one night, which made us feel very unsafe. There's no garage or fenced area for the cars. Even though the area is considered safe, we were quite apprehensive. The view also isn't as good as it looks in the photos. It's close to Vale dos Vinhedos, but if you like going out at night, we wouldn't recommend it. Given the situation above, returning after an evening out feels a little scary.
