The location is good, but the rooms are only so-so. Breakfast service wasn’t good.

The room itself was simple and had no luxuries, which would have been fine. What made our stay in Bertioga so disappointing was how we were treated. The owner advertises it as a “family-friendly environment,” yet from the moment we arrived we got judgmental looks, impatience, and very little willingness to help. It was clear she didn’t like having children there, and she complained about the noise even though we paid the regular nightly rate and hadn’t been warned about any such restriction. We felt like a nuisance the whole time. We’ve never had such disrespectful, hostile treatment at a place we were staying. There’s no daytime room service, so even a small need had to be taken directly to the owner, who lives at the inn. She spent the day drinking beer and seemed completely unprepared and far from professional. It was one unreasonable thing after another. We came looking for rest and a warm welcome, but left angry about the service and reception. We don’t recommend it, and hope other travelers know what they might face. No guest deserves to be treated that way.

The pool deck was spacious and well kept, a lovely spot to unwind, and the garden was beautiful and full of greenery that made the whole place feel peaceful. Breakfast was superb too, generously served with fresh fruit, lots of variety, and clear care in how it was prepared. Pousada Estalagem do Guerreiro in Bertioga is charming, with rustic décor, clean and organized surroundings, and an excellent location near the beach. The team greeted us warmly when we arrived and kept making sure guests felt welcome and looked after. We’d happily return and wholeheartedly recommend it.

The owners, a very friendly couple, made me feel at home from the start. That warm, familiar welcome added to the cozy, peaceful feel of the place. It’s surrounded by lovely plants, and the location is excellent too. I loved my stay and already want to go back! 🌿✨
