Pousada Nascimentos

The location is the one good thing: it really is right beside the beach. Everything inside felt very different from the nice coast outside. We paid 900 reais for one night for a tiny room with a triple bunk, a double bed, and a small fridge. There was a constant mold smell. I don’t think the sheets or towels had been washed; luckily we had our own sheet and slept on the mattress with that. The bathroom was disgusting, with grime in the shower and on the floor. Breakfast was a mess too. There weren’t enough tables for all the guests, the coffee ran out in seconds, and the milk seemed to have been kept from earlier days. The food also looked clearly reused. The whole inn had a strong smell of mold and something rotten. Charging 900 reais for a place like this feels like extreme exploitation, even with the beach right there.

We stayed on 19/11/2025, five of us: three adults, including my mother-in-law, and two children under five. The inn is right by the beach and easy to get to, but the room was a real letdown. We had room number 03 on the ground floor. It had a triple bunk, a bunk bed, a double bed, and a refrigerator that made a horrible noise all night. The mattresses and bedding were very worn, and because the room had been shut up, it smelled strongly of mold. Our check-in was set for 13:00, and the owner made an exception because we had children. When we asked around noon if we could at least change the kids, we were told no because the room still needed cleaning. We understood and went to lunch. When we came back, the room smelled musty and didn’t look or smell clean. There was sand left on the floor, and the towels smelled as if they’d been stored away. We stayed just one night because we were going home for the holiday. Breakfast was good, with a nice variety of options, but the facilities in this room were poor. The upstairs rooms look much better in the photos, and the one we saw in person seemed better too. The inn is being renovated, so we hope the investment in infrastructure and items like mattresses, towels, and equipment will help. Armando handled our checkout politely and kindly, and showed us they’re working on improvements. The place has potential, but still needs work in several areas. We know labor can be hard to find, but even small improvements are possible and would mean a lot. I gave it two stars because of the cleanliness and poor condition of the room we had. Bring something to spray in the room, since we saw some cockroaches. In general, a lot could be improved in the short term without much investment. We paid $500.00 for one night.

The attendants were friendly, which was a plus. But the price is way too high for what the inn offers. The room and bathroom were cramped, the mattress and TV were poor, and the soap was awful. There’s no leisure area at all.

Everything felt just right. We were welcomed warmly and felt at ease with D. Dora and Armando. The inn is truly right by the beach, and both the rooms and bathrooms were clean. Breakfast was very good. I came with my family and my mother, who is a frail older woman. She loved the facilities and D. Dora’s kindness. It was an excellent stay.
