The location worked well for me. It felt like a safe area, the price seemed fair for what was offered, and bars and restaurants were an okay distance away. Vila Germânica wasn't too far either. The place is really a house where a very polite, attentive woman has put in some bunk beds to earn extra money. It didn't have the welcoming hostel feel or spaces where guests could mingle and share cultures. The bed was so low that I couldn't sit up on it, which was really uncomfortable. There was no air conditioning in the room, though that wasn't much of an issue since it wasn't hot during my stay.

The rooms and bathroom were clean, and the property had air conditioning, but there was no breakfast. My first stay here had gone fine. This time, the electrical problem was a real setback. The power went out while I was showering and never came back. I missed my 8 a.m. meeting, and without electricity I couldn't get my clothes ready for the 11 a.m. one, so I had to wear a badly wrinkled outfit. The owner is very kind and attentive, but I was disappointed that my request for a discount was refused after all that. I had planned to stay one more night, but couldn't risk another disruption without any compensation.

The bathroom had mold, the shower wouldn't shut properly, and the toilet paper was awful. The window didn't work right either, and the door was warped. I also didn't like that the owner wanted to start tidying the room while I was still in it at 11:30. I asked for another half hour and she wasn't pleased, even though checkouts are at noon in other places. I had a bad stay.

I stayed one day with my daughter, and we didn't like it. The room was extremely basic, with only a bed, and there was no hair dryer in the bathroom. Having to share the bathroom felt awful, especially with my daughter, and we had no privacy. I won't be back to this dump.
