The staff were lovely, and the room was really nice. I had a perfect stay in Blumenau.

Breakfast had a good range of options, though there was much less to choose from on Monday. I also wished there were extra knives available, since each place setting only had one knife and fork. The hotel feels modern, bright, and airy, and I found it comfortable and good value. The staff were attentive. A few things let it down: the towels were very scratchy, the minibar was empty, and getting anything meant calling room service. That was inconvenient when I wanted water during the night.

The breakfast buffet was average, though the staff were friendly. It’s an older place, but it has a charm you don’t get from a chain hotel. It was clean, although the carpets were old, and I’m not a fan of carpets in hotel rooms.

The service was excellent, and they always paid attention to the details. I stayed here for a week in October 2012 and found it a very nice hotel. Updating the furniture would be a great idea and could help preserve its reputation and business.

The location is the only advantage. This place completely changed my view. I do NOT recommend it: the staff are absolutely horrible, show no respect for guests, and they lie.
