The homemade food was the highlight for me. I’m not a big meat eater, but there were good options, with plenty of salads and vegetables, no bacon in the beans or farofa, and none of the fussy mushroom or tofu dishes. It all seemed to be made right there, with gardens and well cared for animals, and the staff were lovely and hardworking. I was nervous at first, but ended up surprised by how much I enjoyed it. Jéssica and Vitória were especially sweet, and everyone treated us really well. It’s a peaceful place with beautiful waterfalls, lovely gardens, and lots of coffee farm culture. Great for resting, unwinding, and eating well, and I do hope to come back. Still, I thought the price was high for what we got. There are no bins anywhere outside the bathrooms, and having to pay for water every time you want some felt unreasonable. The SPA, games room, and gym area looked abandoned, as if nobody had been there for years. There’s nothing at the fishing area, not even somewhere to sit, and the outdoor chairs and other furniture are very old. I also think the women on staff are overloaded. The cups and towels I asked to have changed weren’t replaced, though I don’t believe it was intentional.

That sunrise made the stay worth it. The view was gorgeous, all green and surrounded by nature. The waterfalls are close by, beautiful, and easy to reach. The pool is small, but it was fine, and the staff were polite. Our room was clean, the shower was great, the accommodation was okay, and the TV had Telecine channels. No one ever took our temperature. The meals tasted good, but there wasn’t much variety. Dessert came already served in a small portion, and asking for more meant an extra charge. We didn’t like that, and other guests there complained too. The games room seemed abandoned and had no conversation, which was a shame since there wasn’t any recreation offered.

We picked a special date, which made the stay feel even more perfect. The place is beautiful, and the view as you arrive really catches your eye. It sits high up and gets quite windy, so bring a sweater outside summer. The food was simple and wonderful, and all the little touches were done with care, right down to the table setting. It’s a lovely spot to rest, meditate, and enjoy the quiet. We couldn’t make it to the waterfall because of the rain, so maybe next time. I’d really recommend it if you want to relax or spend some time with yourself.

An old coffee farm with separate chalets, surrounded by calm and quiet. The food is made with produce grown on the farm itself. There’s no hustle or bustle, just rain, wind, and birdsong. A place to slow down and take in the scenery.

It’s all pretty basic, and there isn’t much to do. The shower was bad. Still, it’s quiet and peaceful, clean, and reasonably priced.
