The hospitality was amazing, and the restaurant was excellent. Great wine, too. It gets foggy here, so get up early to explore before the fog comes in.

We stayed in the “chalé da mata,” and it was amazing, with a fireplace, a lake view, and a bathtub. The room was clean, and when we asked to have it cleaned again, the staff did it right away. They were always ready to help. There’s no data roaming in the area, so you really need Wi-Fi, and theirs was exceptional. If you’re after a great place to stay around rio do rastro, this place is epic.

I only spent one evening at the resort, but the team and owner Ivan showed real care and professionalism. The weekly "galpão crioulo" event is a fantastic way to experience gaucho culture. I’d definitely recommend it.
