Pousada Bem Viver

I wanted to thank the team at pousada Bem Viver for our stay. The service was such a pleasant surprise, and I’d definitely recommend both staying there and taking the tours they suggested. The rooms were clean and smelled lovely, the minibar was stocked, and even the l'occitane soap in the bathroom showed their attention to detail. Breakfast was delicious and had plenty of variety. Since we were celebrating birthdays, thank you for helping with the cake and giving the birthday guests such a warm welcome. Everyone complimented it. We’ll recommend you to people we know whenever someone needs a place to stay. Thank you 🙌🏼

We came as a group of 12 couples for three days of excitement, tiredness, and time to rest. The pousada is in the village of Bom Jardim, close to many of the tours, and the surroundings were so quiet at night that sitting outside late, all we heard were crickets, not even dogs barking. Elaine greeted us cheerfully and explained how the rooms, breakfast, and kitchen worked, including how to use it if we needed to prepare dinner or another dish. The rooms matched the photos: spacious, airy, spotless, fragrant, and fitted with air conditioning, a TV, minibar, bed, plenty of pillows, and blankets. The rustic style is lovely, and the yard, common area, and front of the pousada were kept clean. Breakfast was excellent, with different juices and lots of well-made treats. Her husband Vitor knows the region and all the tours and their operators. He helped arrange outings, lunches, and dinners, and gave us great dinner recommendations. Everything they did came with care and attention. The main parts of the pousada are ready, while they’re building more: a bistro, reception, more rooms with whirlpool baths, and other additions. The one thing missing for now was a pool, though with all the fun we had on the tours, we hardly missed it. She said they plan to build one in the near future. Here’s my recommendation for anyone who needs a place to stay.

Everything went smoothly from my first contact with Vitor. We booked a package for 8 nights that included tours, transfers, and a tour guide. The pousada is attractive and clean, and the people there work well together. When we arrived on Sunday, my husband was unwell. Elaine noticed right away, checked his vital signs, and was concerned. She and Vitor called SAMU, and he received all the care he needed that Sunday night. Elaine offered to make him a bland diet while he rested for 2 days, and Vitor rearranged all our tours. Our guide Adamor respected how we wanted to enjoy ourselves and wasn’t intrusive. The tours were beautiful, and in the end everything worked out.
