The rooftop pool and well-equipped gym were nice, and the building itself is new and attractive. Our apartment had about 80 square meters, two bedrooms including a suite, a fitted kitchen, washer and dryer, and heated water at every tap. It’s around 100 meters from Bombinhas’ main avenue and 200 meters from Bombinhas Beach. We were only told three days after check-in that everyone had to wear wristbands. That felt unpleasant, especially after we’d been swimming and thought the building manager might have been bothered by us. We felt unwelcome. I understand it’s an apartment rule, but it should be stated in advance by the real estate agency and in the condo rules. We’d still come back. It didn’t ruin the trip.

Just a minute or so on foot from the beach, with shops, a pharmacy, and a supermarket nearby. The apartment was very cozy, with three bedrooms, a smart TV in each one, a well-stocked kitchen, and a barbecue. There’s also a pool and a small gym on the rooftop.

The new apartment was very good, and the condo has a great pool and barbecues on the balconies. The wristband rule is meant to improve security, which I can understand, though wearing one is annoying. Be careful if you choose an apartment facing the back street: there’s construction there, and the noise starts early. Sr. Alexandre Cruz, the real estate agent from Mattos, didn’t tell us about it, and we had no privacy at all.

The apartment service we booked wasn’t what we got. The real estate agency gave us very poor support when we reported the problems, and it took them a long time to come and check. The washing machine couldn’t be used, so after a very rainy week we had to leave with dirty, wet clothes. Technicians finally came on Thursday and took the machine away, but we checked out Sunday and it still hadn’t been returned. The appliances were disappointing in other ways too. The fridge leaked water every day when it defrosted, and the TVs barely got reception.
