Pousada Canaã

The accommodation was perfect.

The pool was spotless, and the maintenance guy was kind and helpful when he replaced a light bulb. The rest of our stay at Pousada Canaã in Bombinhas was a real disappointment. We’d expected a few relaxing vacation days, but the rooms were in rough shape, with very old furniture and kitchen gear. There were only three battered pans, barely any utensils, and hardly a usable kitchen setup. The furniture was crumbling, and we avoided the wardrobe because it was old and smelled musty. The stove and fridge were old too, and the stove didn’t work until my husband did some maintenance on it. The TV had no power cable, even though we’d been charged for it to work. At one point the ceiling fan caught fire, which was frightening and dangerous, and left us without power for a while. We paid the full price expecting what had been offered, but the basic facilities weren’t there, so we checked out early. For what they charge, there are much better options in Bombinhas. I don’t recommend it.
