Pousada Pedra Salgada

Top-notch.

We had bathroom problems during our ten-day stay, and nobody ever offered a fix. At breakfast, the small tables can't be pushed together, so a family of four has to sit apart. On top of that, they charged us more reais than we had agreed to from the very start. The owner and an Argentinian woman at reception were incredibly disrespectful, and they didn't even say good morning. I've visited Brazil many times, but I've never encountered such a negative attitude before. I absolutely wouldn't recommend this place and will never go back to Pedra Salgada.

The beach setup was a lovely touch: when we got to the sand, an umbrella and chairs were already waiting, with Henrique giving us special attention. Beach and pool towels are available on request too. The staff were consistently attentive and helpful, and the wi-fi worked perfectly, which made a real difference. Our one-bedroom apartment had a balcony with a sea view, and it was excellent. It had a SmarTV, microwave, fridge, cooktop, fans in the living room and bedroom, and air conditioning in the bedroom. There was a double bed, wardrobe and chest of drawers, plus a table for four and a sofa bed for two in the living room. The balcony also had a barbecue and was a really nice place to spend time. The rooms were comfortable, and there was space to relax, along with private parking. The pool area was great for unwinding, with loungers and chairs. You can order sparkling wine to enjoy there. Breakfast was very good and served in a pleasant dining room, and the cleaning was top quality. There's a difference between staying somewhere pleasant and feeling like you're among friends. That's how we felt at Pousada Pedra Salgada, now under new management. Adriana and Paulo welcomed us warmly, and Dudu gave us special attention. It's in a particularly lovely part of Praia do Mariscal and offers excellent service. I highly recommend Pedra Salgada. It's now my place to stay in Bombinhas, on one of the region's best beaches 😉.

The location is great, just across the street from the beach, and the service was attentive. They make little treats themselves for breakfast, which was lovely. The room could use some work, though: the bathroom tap dripped, the shower stall let so much water out that the bathroom nearly flooded, and the air conditioner was noisy.
