Pousada Villa Maciel

We stayed from 28/12/2025 to 01/01/2026. The location is excellent, the place was clean, and the accommodation met our needs. But the way the afternoon receptionist and the manager treated us seriously undermined the stay. From the moment we arrived, the receptionist was curt and unfriendly. Later, when we came back to the parking area with friends staying at another inn, she abruptly challenged them about who they were and said they couldn’t come in. She did it without courtesy or professionalism, and we were extremely embarrassed. Things got worse when my six-year-old daughter came down with a virus and spent the night vomiting and having diarrhea. The bedding got dirty. In the morning I went to reception only to ask for fresh sheets. I planned to change them myself, without asking for room cleaning, because I needed a little rest before taking my daughter to urgent care. The manager responded disrespectfully, with a look of disgust and a raised voice, and told me I’d have to pay to have the dirty bedding washed. I find that completely absurd. I travel often and have never encountered behavior so inappropriate, inhumane, and lacking in empathy, especially when a child is sick. The team urgently needs training in hospitality, customer service, and basic judgment. Their conduct fell far below what I expect from a lodging business.

The location is excellent and breakfast is complete. All the women at reception were very kind, especially Macarena and Isa. It’s a shame about the way the owner Kele treated us. On our last day, she hurried us out before the stated checkout time, so we couldn’t have breakfast. Her treatment was very poor.

The breakfast was delicious, and the inn is well located, very close to the sea. Our room was fully equipped, clean, and tidy, and the staff were friendly and attentive. Everything was perfect. I’ll definitely be back!

The staff were friendly, everything was clean, and the beach is very close. We really enjoyed our stay and would come back. We were traveling with my wife and baby, and they provided a crib. Breakfast was plentiful, we could choose a time, and it was brought to our room right on schedule. The only thing we missed was a beach umbrella, since chairs were provided.
