The inn is great, and we’d definitely return. We stayed in March with our dog, in a ground-floor apartment facing the pool. The apartment was clean and comfortable, with a big kitchen, a bathroom in perfect condition, a new electric water heater, spotless tiles, a fridge, stove, and microwave. There was also a medium-sized closet, a table for four, and a little sofa, though it was too hard for sleeping. The bed was only medium-sized for two, and since it’s a spring mattress, one person moving would wake the other. The pool was cleaned every day, and the garden and barbecue area were looked after daily too. We were the only guests for four days, but the cleaning service still treated the place as if it were fully occupied. The inn is half a block from Canto Grande beach. A small market is on the corner, though it costs more than the usual shops, and there’s a pharmacy and other food shops two blocks away. J Vargas managed the inn and stayed in touch on WhatsApp, responding to each request. We paid an extra 35 reais for sheets, but they felt old fashioned rather than hotel quality. They were thin, a bit pilled, and too tight, so they kept slipping off the mattress. The kitchen utensils were basic and old, and there was no electric kettle or toaster. We asked, and they brought us a sandwich maker on the second day. Those weren’t the main things for us, though, and the place is still great.

A cozy place to stay, with apartments that feel welcoming and a pool. Mariscal beach and the inner sea at Canto Grande are nearby. You can walk to a pizzeria, burger place, restaurant, market, and other businesses. I recommend it.

We were warmly welcomed, and everything was clean, tidy, and well located, close to everything. We’ll definitely be back.
