I was told the owner prefers renting to Argentinians because they don’t complain or respond, even when faced with the stairs or breakfast, and that he keeps an eye on reviews mentioning the stairs. Look for another pousada if those things matter to you. People I met there said they were frustrated and wouldn’t come back because of the route to the square, market, and town center, the hills, and the stairs. They said it was described as close to everything, but that felt misleading. By car it’s a bit easier, though there’s still a hill. The good part is that the room has beds and household items if you want to cook. The rest was difficult. The photos don’t show the steep hill you have to climb to reach the pousada. At night it’s very dark among the trees. The road is dirt with bits of concrete, and a terrible incline. Once at the hotel, there are lots of stairs to the room. There’s no elevator or access for people with disabilities. My mother couldn’t manage the stairs and hills, so she only went out once during our stay. It’s hard to get an Uber too, since drivers who come up say they can’t stand that road. The iFood delivery person said the same. The breakfast items were there, but they’re placed under the air conditioner and everything gets cold. The pool is small, just there to give the pousada some sparkle. The reception area isn’t large enough for guests waiting to check in. When I asked to change rooms because of the stairs for my mother, the owner mocked me and said he prefers Argentinians because Brazilians complain too much, while Argentinians just accept things. The photos make it look like the beach is right out front, but it isn’t. To get to the center or beaches, you need a car or have to be comfortable walking and exercising on all those hills and stairs. The owner offered no solution to the problem.

We stayed four nights. The view was incredible, and the barbecue was very useful for us. Breakfast was simple, but everything was fresh, and the staff were very friendly, especially Daniel, who kept checking that we were enjoying our stay. The pool area is small, though it was pleasant and usually quiet since the beach is so close. We were assigned the rear parking area, and getting up its steep slope felt dangerous because you can’t see if a car is coming down at the same time. Room cleaning wasn’t done during our stay, only when we arrived and when we left.

My complaint is about the way I was treated while asking a question, not about the rooms or the prices. I got one quote, then a different amount when I asked for the Pix details. I only wanted to understand the difference, but the attendant treated me badly and called my concern “drama.” I hadn’t even stayed there. I was trying to finish the reservation and clear up my last questions when this happened. Customer service is the heart of a business. If this person is an employee, the pousada should teach them how to speak to customers without making jokes or replying like that. The WhatsApp conversation is all there, and the attendant’s latest comment doesn’t match what was said in the chat. On top of being rude, they’re lying. The service was very poor, and after that exchange I don’t want to know what staying there would be like.
