Pousada Di Luna

It was okay.

The grounds are full of nature, with a beautiful landscape and a large, lovely orchard. There’s a well-equipped pool area with a kiosk and barbecue, plus two grass soccer fields. Breakfast is good, with a range of breads, fruit, juices, cakes, eggs, and cold cuts. The place is rustic rather than luxurious, but comfortable and hygienic. The website photos give a fair picture of the facilities, though being there felt magical in a way no image could capture. Reception isn’t open 24 hours, but I liked the freedom and independence that gave us. It was a beautiful experience.

We stayed in chalet number seven and had no internet issues. It was comfortable and suited the pousada’s style, and the place was peaceful and pet-friendly. The staff were kind and helpful. On mornings when our tours started before breakfast, they prepared a snack for us. There’s a minibar in the room, and drinks are available to buy if needed. Breakfast included bread, cold cuts, cake, cheese bread, yogurt, juice, coffee, milk, and fruit. It’s outside the center, but the drive is quick, so that wasn’t a problem for us.

The staff were lovely, attentive, and very helpful. We left at 5 a.m. one day and missed breakfast, so the next day they left juice and sandwiches in our room for us to have after our tour. The pousada is simple but cozy, everything was clean, and breakfast was wonderful. We also enjoyed the great pool and kiosk, where we had a barbecue one evening. We loved it and recommend it.
