Hotel Diplomat by Bsb Inn

The hotel is clean and organized, and the attendants are friendly. It also has the best price in the neighborhood, with an excellent location in the Pilot Plane, a prime area of Brasília, about 500m from the Brasília Shopping. My room was the basic cabin. I had a few small issues, but they seemed fair for the price: the air conditioner was noisy, and the WiFi signal in my room was weak, so I could rarely connect. The bathroom was clean, though there were black mold stains on the ceiling and on the white grout between the tiles. Breakfast was simple, with bread, ham, cheese, three fruit options, one or two kinds of cake, two juices, eggs, and so on.

It's a shame the owners don't take better care of this hotel, since it represents buildings from the city's early days. The breakfast was disappointing: little variety, few fruits, no juice, and I didn't like the coffee. The WiFi was the worst part. They say it's available, but it doesn't work, so it feels like false advertising. The staff member who greeted me was friendly and efficient. At checkout, though, another attendant made it clear that his phone call mattered more than the six people waiting. Disappointing.

The staff were efficient, polite, and warm. Breakfast was really varied, with lots to try, including regional juices like cashew apple and cajá. I stayed in a basic cabin, where the bed was very comfortable and the hot showers were relaxing. The internet was a major letdown, though, always down at night and completely unstable.

The suite is small but functional. It has air conditioning, a TV, a small fridge, a closet, and a safe.
