pousada casa do claus

Great.

I’ve been staying at this inn for five years, and by now I feel like part of the family. The hosts are so attentive and make us feel at home. The whole place is peaceful, cozy, clean, and very well looked after. Breakfast is delicious, too. The apartments have a kitchenette with a fridge and microwave, and the rooms are well equipped with air conditioning. There’s a double bed with a D33 mattress, and the white sheets are always clean and smell fresh. ❤️❤️ I’d recommend it to anyone.

We paid for a double room, but ended up sharing one bed because, in my opinion, the wooden beds and mattresses provided weren’t fit to sleep on. There were leaks dripping near the food, and the place looked poorly finished. We spent the entire stay without working air conditioning or even a working fan. They still charged us for power for an air conditioner that never worked, saying the room “had AC” as advertised. This was a deeply frustrating stay. If the place was ever any good, it must have been in its first year. Avoid it if you have any other option!

The owner was always helpful and attentive whenever we needed anything. The inn is cozy and well located, close to snack bars and restaurants. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. I’ll definitely come back.
