Pousada Damasco

It’s a really good place.

The biggest problem was what happened overnight: our company’s ladder was stolen from the rack on the car. Two colleagues stayed here on the night of 17/06/25, after booking by phone. Michael clearly said there was enclosed parking, which we needed because we carry valuable equipment. At the hotel, they found there was no such parking. They asked the receptionist to keep the ladder somewhere safe, but that simple request was refused. The hotel also declined to provide security camera footage that might have helped identify whoever took it, or at least shown some concern about the incident. They didn’t issue an invoice either, which shows disregard for guests and their legal obligations. (Tax evasion, lol.) We’re deeply unhappy with the experience, the staff’s attitude, and the lack of care for guests’ security and respect.

There’s no breakfast, and the bakery is about 400m away. The room is basic but has air conditioning. It might be worth staying if the price is right. If you can find somewhere with better conditions, though, look elsewhere. With no better option, this place will do at a good price.

I booked directly with the inn and found the price fair. The rooms are cozy, and it’s easy to get around, with restaurants and supermarkets nearby. They also serve a really good breakfast.
