Pousada Boa Vista

Great.

My boyfriend and I were treated really well. I had a few unexpected issues before the trip, and every staff member was helpful and worked with the hotel’s options to fit our needs. The price is high, but it’s one of the more affordable choices in town. The rooms are basic, with powerful air conditioning. The bathroom feels claustrophobic, but the shower is excellent! Breakfast was very good, and we could use the kitchen to eat at other times too.

The breakfast was excellent, and the leisure area was pleasant, with a pool, pool table, and other amenities. The location is peaceful, a little outside town but not too far, and getting into town is easy via a stretch of highway and a few turnarounds. Parking is uncovered, though that wasn't an issue on sunny days. My room had a few problems: the mattress springs seemed broken, making loud creaks and sinking without bouncing back, so the night was uncomfortable. The bedding was a little dirty, and some walls had mold from leaks. After the first shower, the bathroom drain smelled bad; we fixed it by buying multipurpose cleaner and applying it right at the source. I also noticed other rooms had wall mirrors, while mine didn't.

The room was clean, and the service and breakfast were good, so the stay was worth the price. The building itself could use an update and some repairs, but that didn't get in the way of our stay or a good night's sleep.
