The rooms face an uphill street, and trucks and buses grind their way up it so noisily that it gets on your nerves. The restaurant was a complete mess too. In the morning, the cook was coughing and hacking in the kitchen and dining room. The baked goods tasted three days old, the eggs were greasy, the cakes came from supermarket boxes, and the coffee was muddy. At dinner, the cook couldn't serve the whole table together, even though there were only two of us. My baked salmon came fried but raw inside, so I sent it back, and the mashed potatoes were cold. The whole meal was a disaster. We should have eaten at the Ville du Montagne Hotel instead. The service there is charming, and while the kitchen is slow, the food is honest and sometimes creative. Stay there too if you can get a reservation.

The road right beside the hotel is very busy, but they do a good job keeping the noise out. The service was great too. I loved it.

Traffic noise, unreliable internet, and music on Friday night are things to watch out for. Aside from that, it’s a good place to stay for a few days if you’re visiting Inhotim.
