Mar Doce Lar

Everything was spotless and nicely decorated, and you can see how much care the owners put into the inn each day. They're a very attentive and helpful couple. I have celiac disease, and they even made me a gluten-free cake. The location is great too. I loved it and would happily return.

The hosts were great, and so was breakfast. But when we arrived, the bunk bed was broken, with a split piece of wood, so we were worried we'd fall. Then the air conditioner started making a really loud noise at night, enough to wake us up. Unfortunately, nobody stays at reception in case you need something.

Mar Doce Lar was peaceful, good value, and offered a lot of quality. It's right in the center, close enough to walk to Praia do Forte, and in the evening you can stroll through the shops, eat, or do some shopping. JOSÉ and Clara put a lot of effort into looking after their guests and were attentive about everything. We'd recommend it to friends. I hope this helps answer questions about the inn. The breakfast had plenty of good options, including fruit, bread, cakes, coffee, milk, cereal, and juice. Room 01 was extremely clean and well cared for, the bathroom was immaculate, and the Sprint air conditioner cooled very well. There were drinks in the minibar too. We spent a week in Cabo Frio. Our first two nights were at Boutique do Lazer in room 05, which was very good but far from everything. Then we booked three more nights at Valle Verde, also very good and close to the little market and Praia do Forte. The inn is so close to the beach that you can walk there easily. It's cozy, clean, and smells lovely. Breakfast was wonderful, with lots of variety and good quality, and the service was attentive and thoughtful. Nothing but praise from me.
