An amazing hostel!

I stayed at Pousada Aruana from 10/02 to 13/02 and had a very positive experience. Even before arriving, Viviane was quick, attentive, and clear when helping me over WhatsApp, which made me feel confident about the booking. The whole team welcomed me warmly and were polite, organized, and helpful. Rose deserves a special mention. She was wonderful during my stay, always kind, cheerful, ready to help, and so warm that I felt truly welcome. She clearly cares about the guests and is always willing to lend a hand with a smile. Her kindness made a real difference. The pousada was clean, orderly, and felt safe, with care shown in the details. I was comfortable and at ease throughout my visit, which mattered a lot since I was traveling alone. I’d definitely recommend it.

The breakfast was disappointing. There were no natural juice options unless requested, and everything came already sweetened, with no alternatives. I also saw rubbish scattered around the shared areas, which made the place feel poorly cared for. Other guests I spoke with had similar complaints, so it didn’t seem like an isolated case. There was also an issue at check-in: my reservation wasn’t listed when I arrived, which made me uncomfortable right away. During the stay, it was clear that one employee was handling all the tasks, affecting service and organization. The bath towels were stained and torn, below even the basic standard I expected. For these reasons, I wouldn’t return or recommend the pousada.
