It’s near Praia do Foguete and the building itself has a good setup. Inside, though, there’s a musty smell even with good ventilation, and the ceiling fan doesn’t work. They also don’t provide bed linens, which would be useful. The host should take better care of the property so guests leave happier and speak well of the pousada.

We booked through Airbnb and getting in touch with the host was fine. Our stay in Casa 2 was disappointing, though. The house needs maintenance, and there were lots of cockroaches that we had to kill during our stay. The social bathroom shower only works on the winter settings, so in hot weather you can’t get a comfortably warm shower. Two of the three bedrooms face the road to Arraial do Cabo, and the traffic made it hard to sleep at night. My family and I were a bit let down by the stay.

The sea breeze here is wonderful, and the place is fascinating. It’s peaceful, great for resting, and practically across from Praia do Foguete in Cabo Frio. It was my first visit, and I was already captivated.

The house and location were wonderful, and we really enjoyed the place. The one issue came when we needed to store and chill our things: the refrigerator is quite small and doesn’t hold much. Bring only a little, and enjoy yourselves.

The house is good, and there’s a strong sense of community here. The problem was that nobody told us about the fee for bringing a van into the city, so we weren’t prepared to pay it.
