Villa Solarium Pousada

I really appreciated how responsive and kind the staff were. They were polite, attentive, and helpful whenever we needed them, and that made a real difference. The inn is in a peaceful, pleasant spot. It isn't close enough to walk to the beaches, but getting there by car was quick and easy. The outdoor area looks nice, and the pool is pleasant, though at times it seemed to need more attention. Rain also left mud on the way to some areas, something that could be planned for better. The inn has plenty of potential, even though the building is older. The issue for me was the upkeep. The bathroom felt neglected. The acrylic shower enclosure was dirty, there was a sewer smell from the drain, the mirror was broken, and the shower's water flow was poor, probably because it hadn't been cleaned. The air conditioner also looked dusty. Breakfast was simple and fell short of what I expected; some items seemed processed and not very fresh. With more care in cleaning and maintenance, this place could offer a much better stay. I'm leaving this feedback in the hope it helps improve things. I wouldn't return at this point, though I think the inn could improve a lot with some changes.

The drain in the bathroom gave off a bad smell, and there were cockroaches and wasps in the rooms. It really seemed like the place wasn't being fumigated. There's a small area in the rooms, but no clothesline for wet beach clothes. Breakfast doesn't start until 8, when it should start at 6, and it only runs until 10. Staff were already closing the dining room at ten minutes to ten while we were still inside. The hostel has plenty of space, but in cold weather there's little to do. A heated pool and a shared barbecue area would help. Reception isn't open all night either. Check-out is at noon. We left our bags in a couple of friends' room and went to the beach since our trip back to our city wasn't until the evening. When we returned in the afternoon to get our things, a staff member said we'd have to pay for another night if we showered in our friends' suite. That was absurd. I definitely won't come back to this hostel.

There is parking, and breakfast is decent. The room was clean, but the pool water was green. I doubt even a frog could live in it. The place is a long way from both the beaches and the town center, and the air conditioner is really noisy. You could stay here if you don't want to spend more.
