The host was so welcoming and friendly.

That swim in the river, surrounded by forest and with real privacy and safety, was something special. We also loved warming up in the sauna and lighting the fireplace. Later, all the unusual objects in Casa do Alemão set my imagination going. Amandamata feels like a magical place, and Carlos, its owner and guardian, made it even more memorable with his stories and warm welcome. We already want to come back.

We spent New Year's at Amadamata and felt at home thanks to the other guests and the owners. The refuge is stunning and clearly well cared for. It's more than a place to stay, it feels like time in nature and a chance to find some peace. Thanks to Carlos, Carla, and the whole team!

The road in is rough and a real challenge, but the place made every pothole worth it. At the property, Carlos's care for both the grounds and guests really shows. The chalets are comfortable, with soft beds, hot showers, fireplaces, and lovely robes. I liked meditating by the river with the birdsong, and the bistro snacks were a nice touch. The shared spaces are both useful and beautiful, including the sauna and Casa do Alemão, with its games room, library, video library, and CINEMA. The orchard had pears everywhere; the jabuticaba season had passed, but there was still ice cream, juice, and caipirinha. A lovely place to enjoy nature and cooler weather.
