Hotel Pousada JM Ferreira

For what it costs, this hotel feels very basic. There’s no air conditioning, nothing in the minibar, and the tables and chairs are plastic, like the ones used in party halls.

The internet was the main downside for me. It was so slow that sometimes even a YouTube video wouldn’t load. The rooms are comfortable and everything feels organized, the staff are polite and attentive, and breakfast has a good range of choices.

Breakfast wasn’t that good, but there was one very attentive young man.

I wouldn’t recommend Hotel JM. During our stay, water leaked into the room and soaked my suitcase, damaging my belongings. The room itself was in terrible shape, with broken beds and old furniture. The parking layout was also a problem, cars could block the exit and make it very hard to leave quickly. There’s no proper access for people with limited mobility either. No ramps, and the stairs make getting around difficult and risky. Service was poor as well. The staff didn’t show much warmth or genuine interest in sorting out guests’ problems.
