Pousada Aimorés

The beds were good, and the area was super quiet. We stayed for 2 nights, but the place didn’t match the pictures, and the prices on rbnb were different, so check carefully before booking. Breakfast was really disappointing for the price. Keep your expectations low.

The location is wonderful, right in front of the Fourth Beach pools, though it’s far from the center and Second Beach. They offer transport to Second Beach and explain how it works at the inn. When we arrived with our bags, we went straight to the reception point at Second Beach, and they arranged a ride to the inn. It’s a simple, cute, well-organized pousada. Our room and bathroom were both spacious and the room was clean, though two cockroaches appeared during our stay, one on each night. The staff were very helpful. Breakfast was okay, but could use more savory choices. All in all, I loved the experience. I’d been to Morro several times before, but had never stayed on Fourth Beach.

The guesthouse has a lovely setup by the sea, with new decks, sofas, small tables, chairs, and a shaded area. At high tide you can swim in the sea out front, where the waves aren’t strong; at low tide, the beautiful natural pools are right there. During the day, people sell drinks and acarajé nearby. A restaurant close by delivers to the guesthouse, and there’s another next door with pizza and other dishes if you’d rather stay in. It’s a great place if you want peace and beautiful scenery. The walk to the first beach takes about 15 minutes and is pleasant, or there’s a transfer to the reception point for anyone who doesn’t like walking. The internet is good, and they provide bath amenities, a minibar in the room, and towels for swimming. Breakfast has lots of tasty options. The rooms are spacious, the bed is comfortable, and the air conditioning works well. I thought it was great value, and I’d stay there again if I return to MSP.

The only two good things about this inn were the breakfast and the bed. It benefits from a good location at the start of Fourth Beach, but offers almost nothing else for guests and doesn’t provide much comfort for the price. The rooms need more furniture, including a table and chair, and there are no trash bins or clothes rack. The yellowish floor was peeling and dirty. In the bathroom, the hot and cold water taps kept leaking, and the flush was very stiff. It isn’t worth what they’re charging.
